Step-By-StepThese instructions will walk you through the setup of MS Outlook 2003. Note that Outlook 2003 is different than Outlook Express or any other version of Outlook. Outlook 2003 comes packaged with Microsoft Office 2003. First, go to the Tools menu and then E-mail Accounts:
We want to add a new e-mail account:
Press Next >
… our server is a POP3 server. Select POP3 as can be seen below:
Press Next >
You will enter your personal info, including name, e-mail address, and password. In the screen shots below, your-name.com should be replaced with your own domain name.
When you are done entering these settings DO NOT press Next > … click on “More Settings …”
You will need to go to the Outgoing Server tab and select “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.”
Next, go to the Advanced tab. Here we want to change the Outgoing server (SMTP) value from the default of 25 to 2525.
Press OK when finished. Then Next > on the screen you see.
You’re now all finished!
